VVT Pressure Switches
Trensor's 3FP™ line of vehicle electronics are designed for OE Fit, Form, Function and Performance for both import and domestic vehicles. The variable valve timing (VVT) oil pressure switch is a switch located near and ported to the VVT solenoid, notifying on-board computers of proper oil delivery to the VVT system. The VVT system utilizes re-routed engine oil pressure to the rocker arm pistons above to increase the engine’s efficiency and power. Properly pressurized oil delivery is critical to the system, and when this system fails to operate properly the on-board computers may throw a code and illuminate a check engine light. A failing or improperly functioning VVT oil pressure switch will provide erratic or inaccurate readings to on-board computers, affecting performance and system function.
